The university that I'm at is trying to get new students to use a digital student id that uses google wallet for scanning I think. They aren't giving any new students physical student id's unless they need it for something that doesn't work with the digital ones.

So yeah some people do need google wallet.

idk I was using a 12 year old cpu and it worked fine for gaming. Only upgraded because I wanted to compile stuff in reasonable timeframes.

Imo its understandable since he's going to have to live in russia for the rest of his life if he doesn't want to live in a US prison for the rest of his life.

Depends on your definition of gen z, and the oldest of gen alpha has barely started getting into highschool. As a zoomer though we are on our way out.

Highschooler here, everyone already uses vpn's to bypass the school firewall to view blocked sites and stuff while on school wifi.

Yeah noticed this when I started to make chatgpt write more sentences in essay's I was doing. When you make chatgpt write the next sentence in a paragraph 9/10 times it just rewrites what you wrote in a different way.

Looks like there's an emacs package for elastic tab stops.

Fiona and Cake already existed in the original adventure time show anyways.

This seems to be Varjo's response to the Apple Vision Pro. Its significantly cheaper than the last headset, the Varjo XR-3, going from $5,495 to $3990 and also removing the $1000 yearly subscription. Here's a reminder that Apple initially developed much of their software for the Apple Vision Pro using Varjo's XR-3's and the Apple Vision Pro was going to undercut the XR-3 at a price of $3,500.

It's also exciting that the new XR-4 is going to be allowed for individuals to purchase, instead of just locked to companies.

I keep getting notifications that

bash --login

is a command that has completed from gnome. Is this bad?

I'm not the one running these commands btw.
