The best a resistance group can hope for is being damaging enough to choke their enemy little by little while also being hard to root out without causing collateral damage. Because what are AR-15s or whatever else you can get your hands on going to do against the army's helicopter drones armed with sniper rifles and 360 degree cameras that can detect a target within milliseconds in a kilometer radius just through the reflection on their eye.

As George Washington once said, "A bunch of farmers armed with guns will never win against a trained army."

Flowery words about democracy for somebody living in an oligarchy/monarchy.

Trump made masks political, so wearing one is a political statement to these people.

They have made their political beliefs their entire personality to compensate for their low self confidence and so have to aggressively display their beliefs like a peacock anytime they think somebody is challenging those beliefs, regardless of how benign or irrelevant it is.

Flowery words coming from someone who now lives in a tyrannic monarchy.

Ignorance ultimately doesn't excuse or justify their actions. Your beliefs aren't as important as your actions. Not to say that they should be dragged behind the shed and shot, but that actions have consequences and they need to be held accountable for theirs. If somebody votes for a fascist leader and supports a fascist political party, they're at least collaborators in fascism.

You have to treat these people like they're in a cult, because that's what's happening here. Trump's rhetoric this past year has been eerily similar to Jim Jones near the time that they all drank the Flavor-Aid (almost identical, even). And when dealing with cultists, it's important to remember that not all of them can be saved. After a certain point, even if they recognize that they're in the wrong, most cultists will double down rather than admit that they were wrong - because they're in too deep and to admit that they were fooled would be to admit that their entire life has been wrong and that what they did wasn't justified.

Hope that you can make them realize why they're in the wrong, but be prepared to grab the knife that they might pull on you. Because that's probably the more likely scenario.

Operation Wetback and Wetback 2 would like a word with you. American citizens have been deported to Mexico for simply "looking too Mexican." These people have truly fucked themselves. The leopards are coming for their faces too.

I was planning on starting in the next couple of years myself, once I was financially stable enough to. I don't know what to tell you or anyone else, but I think we're dead.

The entire LGBTQ community is dead if we stick out at all.

Check out Operation Wetback and Wetback 2. The US has already sent US citizens to Mexico for "looking too Mexican" with military operations, and towns have done it in the past 10 years all on their own.

I don't think that's exclusive to Gen Z, I think pretty much every generation is experiencing that. I think that it's safe to say that Gen Z and Alpha have been negatively impacted by the COVID lockdowns due to when in their lives they occurred, but the corporate enshitification of all aspects of basic living and human interaction affects everybody.

Dating Is Rough ~~for Gen Z, Especially~~ for Men Who Support Trump

Misleading title, fixed it. Gen Z is fine. It's just the fascists who are having trouble finding people willing to put up with their vileness.

Maybe they would if they were afforded the opportunity to. They've shown up in "unprecedented numbers" in almost every recent presidential election, starting with Obama's first term. But it's never good enough for anybody else.

Maybe if they had better political education and easier access to voter registration, they'd show up more.

Older people can show up to elections because they have benefits that the younger generations don't. Things like time off, better wages, and no student debt to worry about. The kinds of jobs that kids work are the same kind to refuse to give you the time off on election day and fire you if you miss work.

I've been hearing the same song and dance since I before I was 18. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it reminds me of the conversations about kids not protesting. Millennials got blamed for not being able to afford to protest, and Gen Z grew up nihilistic enough to simply not give a fuck and just eat Tide Pods because we're all gonna die to climate change anyways.
