It remains unclear if there are any other replenishment ships like it immediately available in the Mideast. An AP survey of publicly released military images of similar replenishment ships run by the U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command showed none in the Mideast in recent months. The command declined to comment.

🤔

The problem is that, with a lot of causes like feminism, it’s kind of mushy. It isn’t straightforward, it is loud, it is a winding path. ... I just feel like just simply supporting the rights of women isn’t enough with it and that there’s something more.

This is why intersections are important, there are many interconnected struggles under capitalism which all run into common opposition along misogynistic/classist/racist lines and often with numerous overlaps.

Having an approach which does not include the systemic forces at play from more angles than just one, can lead you to blind spots which cause friction with other people.

I don’t think going out of my way to stand somewhere waving a sign for hours is what I think a good way to spend time with. I believe we should protest smarter by fighting with facts and being more focused than just allowing intrusive and irrelevant directives take hold of certain causes.

Demonstrations are only useful if they're actually demonstrating something. If there's nothing actually threatening why should anyone take your demonstration seriously? This doesn't mean you need to be actually getting people in danger, but shit like stopping traffic and being disruptive makes a point where holding signs does not.

The undecided voters this year have really been deciding with a vengeance

This latest guy having a ton of Ukraine posts is probably also part of them being like "he's a democrat"- there's even a picture of him with blue hair

I'd set it up as a death match where they are all dropped into different parts of an island and have to survive with what they can find

we’re trying to fucking do better and the people who maybe could do better for us are being ratfucked by hostile foreign governments who always suspiciously support Republicans.

there's tons of democrats loading up on AIPAC money

Sounds like you're the one with the cult-like devotion, but sure whatever you say officer

They clearly revel in “dunking on libs” by chain downvoting and harassing people when they say things that the hexbear hive mind disagrees with. And yet always claim innocence when their obvious brigading is called out, as you are currently doing.

They don't even have down votes turned on, unless you're saying that their users are going out of their way to make alt accounts specifically to downvote.

This looks like projection as you are the one who seems to think that down votes are some shield against wrong think and they don't seem to care about them at all.

It's actually more like assembly line work, but with some applied engineering knowledge because you're sometimes needing to solder stuff, correct physical defects and program machines. At one point I was thinking to jump ship and become a licensed electrician, but it's hard to make time to do that without a certain payout.

My original issue was with the whole " food is cheaper than ever**" * only if you assume that everyone's wages have uniformly gone up 50% in 10 years across the whole country

I've worked in electronics assembly for years, and I have a math undergrad. Maybe I could get a masters and teach? but that seems like a lot of investment for dubious payout.

It's super cool transitioning so I can get paid less at work (and find it way harder to get hired at jobs I'm actually qualified for) and then told I should educate myself when I complain about it online. Are bootstraps what my landlord uses to raise rent $500/year?

I already have several, I'm not working at one of them right now!
