I just find that this card looks so pretty. Something about the colors and setting altogether.

I think that Ninetales is simply my favorite card from this set! It's so pretty!

I really adore the Latias! It's a visual style I quite enjoy. And the Toxtricity is a fun card with a nice Poke-band lol Love when they do unique stuff like this. The Magnezone is pretty, too! And happy late birthday as well!

Crazy to think it's been that long!

The consistency is something I'm extremely glad about and in all honesty, it just makes collecting a lot simpler. Also puts less weight on collecting just Japanese cards if you're mostly interested in the silver borders or the holo borders. Was definitely a much needed change, imo. And yeah, the quality control really is... a bit rough in comparison lol Maybe it'll improve

Which do you prefer or feel looks better?

I really like the silver borders, personally. Looks very sleek!

Yeah the gold one looks quite... off... I wonder if I'm the only one that feels it's reminiscent of those fake gold cards that get sold online?

I wonder what the texture is like on that in person. It looks like it'd be nuts!

Those borders with that holo pattern!!

Her clay art is absolutely charming and cute! Definitely fun to see new cards with different Pokemon from her!

Perhaps there's an artist whose work strikes your fancy! If it's a bit difficult to decide on any one artist, pick one of your favorites! Oh, and show one of your favorite cards that they've made!

I have a fondness for so many of the unique art styles showcased throughout the TCG, but I'm quite fond of the soft, pastel-like appearance of sowsow's work, which has inspired my own art style in some ways. The Espeon V alt art is probably my favorite card from them (or honestly in the whole TCG!). I wound up picking it up as a single about a year or two ago and it's been part of my collection since c:

A community focused around the Pokemon TCG! Is your interest in the hobby simply in collecting? Maybe you play the game? Just enjoy the artwork featured on the cards? We welcome discussions from all of these! c:

I have no idea if the comment I made went through before or not, so I'm sorry ahead of time if this winds up being repetitive (last time I tried responding to this post, the comment almost seemed to go to the nether? I don't know what happened...)

Anyway, I wanted to mention that I think all of this is fantastic and that I appreciate it! I honestly didn't even think of crossposting things to other communities ^^' I also wanted to say that I encourage folks to post about collections if they want and that 'collecting' has anything to do with stuff relating to the TCG. Things like ETBs, booster boxes, premium collections, etc. If it's relevant to the hobby, I say go for it! Showcasing cards that are in upcoming sets or that you just find neat completely works, too! (I know I've done my share with that lol)

Also, I'll go ahead and post the magazine in those community sharing spaces c:

I do want to also mention that if you have suggestions or ideas for questions or topics to ask to encourage discussions or like days dedicated to something, let me know! I've been mulling over trying to figure stuff like that out and am wondering if those sorts of things may even be interesting to folks

There's been a fair bit of different cards over the course of the TCG's lifespan, so I'm curious what folks have gravitated to the most!

For myself? I think I prefer FA Trainer cards or Illustration cards such as those from the Trainer Gallery or Illustration Rares in SV. If regular FA Pokemon cards were a bit more like FA Trainers, I'd likely be more drawn to them.
