I think from the tests I did here with 2 people (from different instances) the downvotes are from any instance that federates with mine (though still not 100% sure).
I asked above to downvote me from their non-mander.xyz instance and I can see 2 downvotes.
Can you see my downvote on your comment? (Give it about a hour or so to federate)

So does this mean the downvotes I see on blahaj are exactly the number of downvotes from all the users in instances that allow downvotes which my instance federates with?
(I wrote it in such a confusing way, but I dont know if I can make it any better😅)

I'm still not very sure about this and I wanted to ask about it here for a long time. I think they are "disabled", but I think on lemmy, disabling them means that for every 5 downvotes the system shows a downvote. I don't exactly understand how it works on communities with downvotes disabled.

Turns out that it (probably) was decided to modify the downvote system so that for every 5 downvotes, 1 downvote appears. I'm still kinda confused tho😅
Probably first time seeing a post on 196 that has same number of upvotes and downvotes (and it's not 1-1)💀
Probably not using the same client, but there might be something related to "floating button" or a setting in comments appearence.

Lol, I wanted to break this law so that we can have infinite energy sources (fun stuff) and to be able to destroy ~useless energy (like thermal energy which is a byproduct of probably all energy conversions), thus reducing entropy and other fun stuff.

Yeah I should probably do a test some day. I'm visiting various doctors lately to fix vairous issues, I will probably go there too eventually.
It's even worse when you are in a closed space... I went this year to a concert unprepared (in closed space) without my earplugs and ouchhh, I thought I had lost some hearing due to the strong temporary ringing (I still have some doubts whether my hearing is ok). Same with clubs, I dont go often but I might start bringing my earplugs there too
