Wait, downvotes are now allowed?
I'm still not very sure about this and I wanted to ask about it here for a long time. I think they are "disabled", but I think on lemmy, disabling them means that for every 5 downvotes the system shows a downvote. I don't exactly understand how it works on communities with downvotes disabled.

Turns out that it (probably) was decided to modify the downvote system so that for every 5 downvotes, 1 downvote appears. I'm still kinda confused thoπ
I think when they are disabled you can still see the downvotes from your own instance but none from other servers. I'm the only user on my instance so at most I was able to see my own downvote.
