Who should we trust more:

the 3 military personnel/whistleblower who requested to be sworn in under oath

Or the person who frequently denies to be put under oath and instead vents on LinkedIn

I see that too on Memmy but it shows blank on everyone but myself.

I have a feeling that Memmy just reuses the profile page view for everyone.

Gotta be honest: I’m all for communities. Hate magazines.

Wonder if this was why "Only Up!" was taken off the steam this morning.

You can search on your instance in the search area: https://lemmy.ml/search

You can do a general search if you want or if you know the name of the community you want to sub to, you can search for [!community_name@instance.url](/c/community_name@instance.url)

Another great way to simply find a community is by using https://browse.feddit.de/ Search for an interest/community there and then do a search with the community address on your instance like I said above.

I wonder if it's because !lemmyworld@lemmy.world sidebar and rules say:

This Community is intended for posts about the Lemmy.world server.

That means announcements from the team, issues you see etc.

There's so much spam in this community already. People are using it as a catch-all community

thank you! that's exactly what I was looking for. Was originally testing and added lemmy.world as an allowed instance and was wondering why federation wasn't working. TYSM!

I recently spun up my own lemmy instance and was wondering if I had to manually add other lemmy instances to the 'Allowed Instances' admin field, or if they are added automatically when someone searches for a lemmy instance?

You can search your mastodon account for @mpeach45@lemmy.world or do something like https://mastodon.social/@Mpeach45@lemmy.world

Yep! I've had issue direct searching for kbin communities here and communities from here on kbin though. I think that kbin federates very slowly.

Examples:

https://lemmy.world/c/apple@kbin.social

https://kbin.social/m/apple@lemmy.world

Trying to login with Firefox on my iPhone just sets the submit button spinning but won’t sign me in. I can login with safari on my iPhone though.

Are there any websites that show any awesome graphs or charts for data that lemmy generates? Usage, user signups, post creation, comments, etc...? I have to imagine the fediverse generates some pretty amazing data.
