Graphene is set to reboot after six hours of inactivity, ensuring that it reboots every night after I've gone to bed.

Upvoted because It seems like somebody doesn't understand the concept of an opinion and downvoted you for it. Thanks for the review.

You actually think there's children on Lemmy? Young children? Maybe there is but I get the feeling that kids aren't likely to give a shit about the Fediverse.

I'm here out of principle, but also because I genuinely like it of course. I haven't exactly seen any children's influencers using the fediverse or proselytizing about it though. What is there to draw them here?

I'd genuinely be amazed if there was more than a handful of under-10 kids on here. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

The sheer power of forklifts is unbelievable. Consider what we're looking at for a moment. That was likely an ~8000lb lift going ~ 5mph that did this. A blunt metal fork straight through a steel beam. The absolute danger of a careless driver on a forklift is rarely understood.

I loved being a forklift trainer but the stupid shit the other trainers got away with when teaching people was unreal. No appreciation for the magnitude of the responsibility of driving those machines. The trainees suffered for it. Fucking human wrecking balls driving around the warehouse.

I'm refining my performance of Opeth's Black Rose Immortal that I intend on recording a cover of soon. @rx120d on Youtube.

Those are all jobs a human could have. That's a reason to be upset if you ask me.

Seriously, of all people they're the ones that have been around since the internet's inception. They've had more time to adapt than anyone.

This is better than an app. It can't violate your right to privacy by selling all your data to capitalists.

Good thing I downloaded everything I wamted before they took a shit on Vimm's Lair.

Are you using a 1080p display?

I have a single 2k monitor and have gotten rid of my second monitor thanks to the real estate it offers. I've always wanted to have a large 4k TV as a main display and have my 2k monitor for games requiring fast response time.

Take a look at Zorin. I was really impressed by its UI. Simple and effective.

Can recommend ZorinOS. My mom was still on Win7 a few months ago and her computer was slow as hell.

Wiped Windows off the drive, repurposed it for storage, bought an SSD and installed Zorin. She loves it.

On vacation last fall we ended up hiking in the Lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald area. Took this pic on my Samsung A51 after a quick lunch. Other than the A51's limited auto PP, there are no edits or adjustments to this photo. Not bad for a cheap phone, eh?

Just curious. I'm hearing that a lot of people are using various apps with Lemmy but I'm having such a good experience with the browser version that I don't understand the point of adding an additional layer via an app in between my access to the service. I'd love to hear people's opinions about the pros and/or cons to using an app vs. the browser. [EDIT] I should specify that 90% of my usage is on my phone.
