The problem I have is the AD has a year of warranty and I want to have it polished by the dealer instead of from an independent jeweler. If C24 outright ban the AD, is there any way for them to still honour the warranty?

Absolute beauty. I personally would opt in for a GMT style bezel for better readability/usability. But it is a beauty regardless and every mod is tastefully done.

I noticed that a few dealers that I frequently use simply disappeared. I contacted directly one of them and apparently, there's stricter guideline for authorized dealer. Is anyone aware of it or if you have similar experience with authorized dealer?

The calibre 7s26 is a workhorse movement and fairly simple. If you have the time and is pretty handy, you can try to follow this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHF9xMJ7tmQ to disassemble it and check what's wrong.

Otherwise, you can bring it to an independent watch repair shop. It would be less expensive than the swiss counterpart.

Is there something similar for iOS?

There are some very noticeable interface changes. Looks much cleaner imo.

Maybe that's how they call themselves on sopuli.xyz

I can never find a group of friends dedicated enough to play board games or D&D.

I highly doubt that I would own one.

Asus is jumping to the handheld device hype after Switch and Steam Deck. But Asus doesn't have the best track record with post release support and customization. I trust them even less with the overvolting scandal that just happened a couple of weeks ago.

If you compare spec only, Ally clearly wins over Steam Deck. But if you consider post release support, aftermarket customization, userbase, Steam Deck is miles ahead.

Fermat's Last Theorem has been proven for decades already.

Open source roguelike game Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead had a major stable release yesterday.

Even a lot of non EVs rely on cloud service for safety measure (Lane keeping assist, emergency braking comes to my mind first). There are more and more assist in vehicles in general. Seems like government and laws are pushing for it. So I don't think it will stop in the near future (5-10 years)

There's obviously privacy concern but I find a lot of the automated system don't even have manual override. Unlike plane autopilot where it can always be overriden by manual interaction as fallback. A lot of vehicles don't have redundancy design like this so I see this is a huge problem.

This is the article in case you can't go pass the paywall.

A startup has developed a solid-state battery suitable for electric cars that can fully charge in minutes and lasts more than twice as long as current EV batteries.

After successfully demonstrating a coin-cell prototype with charge rates of three minutes and over 10,000 cycles in a lifetime, Harvard University spin-off Adden Energy recieved $5.15 million in funding to further advance the technology, with the aim of commercialising it in the near future.

Rapid development of clean energy storage technology is critical to combating the “plague” of climate change, according to the startup.

In order to facilitate this adoption, Adden Energy CEO William Fitzhugh hopes to appeal to the 37 per cent of Americans who do not have garages at home, and therefore no access to at-home overnight charging for electric vehicles.

“Complete electrification of the vehicle fleet is one of the most meaningful steps we can take to fight climate change,” said Fitzhugh.

“However, broad adoption of electric vehicles requires batteries that can meet a diverse set of consumer needs... EVs need to recharge at comparable times to internal combustion vehicles, essentially in the time you’d currently spend at the gas pump.”

Estimates suggest that electrification of the world’s vehicle fleet could alone cut global greenhouse gas emissions by 16 per cent, with this “new battery paradigm” seen as essential to achieving this goal.

“Electric vehicles cannot remain a luxury fashion, literally the ‘one percent’ of vehicles on the road, if we are to make progress toward a clean energy future, and the US won’t have a used-car market if EV batteries last only 3 to 5 years,” said Xin Li, an associate professor of materials science at Harvard and a scientific advisor to Adden Energy.

"The technology needs to be accessible to everyone... We don’t see any fundamental limit to scaling up our battery technology. That could be a game changer."

They probably do it to prevents spam/abuse. It is supposed to be a better WhatsApp after all, not a completely federated software. So it gotta be somewhat user friendly.

Good news, time to have some universal standard for chargers.
