The pandemic wasn't that long ago, that experience settled any debate as to how ill informed the average citizen is. Most of the people voting are actively working against their own interests. There is a minority who benefit from the bad policy, the majority inevitably suffer. That has been the state of affairs since (at least) the Reagan era.

We increasingly live in social silos, if you are not a Trumper you will not know about the frequency of the messaging or even its nature most of the time. Like it or not Trump's words speak to the average American, his speeches align with the explicitly nationalistic, racist and generally hateful nonsense that most of them have been drip fed over the course of their lives via media, religion and education. It brings them a sense of comfort.

You grossly overestimate how intelligent/informed the average American voter is. I really don't think they know what they've done, are doing or what is being done to them.

They are willing to kill you to maintain the status quo. If you are not willing to do the same then you have already lost.

I knew it was bad when the DNC started browbeating Black men. Meanwhile in the real world white and Latino voters are the ones who came out in support of Trump.

You think those people actually read the Bible?

You cannot be leftwing and pro-monarchy.

Most of us need permission just to get our hands on cash.

Why would you not just shower afterwards?

Making a note for later. Thanks.

I'm not trans so I can't speak to that particular demographic but I've found evangelical xtians to be deeply unpleasant to most people who deviate from what they perceive as the norm. I do everything possible to avoid being anywhere near them as a result.

I never quite understood what drives people to align with such institutions but I assume it's not for anything positive. It's okay for evangelical xtians to be unpleasant until you become the target has been my experience with such people.
