Some of y'all may remember MTV's Alternative Nation or 120 Minutes, awesome programs & incredible ways to discover #music back in the 80s & 90s...

Welcome, to the Fediverse edition!

The Golden Rule: Music taste is subjective so don't be a gatekeeping asshole. There's no "bad music", only music you like or don't like.

We Are A Community: So no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or spam.

Huge archive of John Peel Sessions. Hundreds of artists between the 60s and 2000s played live on Johnโ€™s Radio 1 show in the UK including many, many alternative and indie acts.

Hereโ€™s one of my favourites, PJ Harvey playing Shela-na-gig in 1991:

I had no idea there were so many complete Peel Sessions on YouTube. But somehow I'm not surprised, that site truly is like The Jukebox Of Alexandria.

Smashing pumpkins released a few tracks from their Peel Session, would be cool to know if there were more songs recorded but not on that release. Thanks, this is a very cool archive!

Thank you, this is brilliant. Met John a couple of times, real nice bloke - still miss him.
