This is a good reminder to review the EFF recommendations on traveling to the US, more than ever.
I'm not sure CBP has the authority to force a US citizen to unlock their phone/laptop for them without a warrant, but probably for non-citizens it's a grey area.
If that scientist did terrorism on his phone, half of America should probably get incarcerated. Land of the free, yeehaw!
