Perhaps in our genetics we have these asshole personality types that were programmed into us to make the tribe stronger. We needed these shitters to be ruthless and kill and manipulate others. Is our tribe strong enough yet?

We captured the natural world and bent it to our will. Now our biggest problems is ourselves. Sounds strong enough IMO.

So what do we do about the parts of humanity that are outdated? Patching it with technology obviously creates ethical dilemmas.

Running from it is pointless because this stuff lives within our genes. Your great great grand daughter could be Hitler 3.0. Even if you make your perfect civilization with perfect civilians with a perfect way of live, the same type of turds will one day float to the top.

We should be trying new things to find a way for everyone to cohabitate, but the status quo lords over us all. Division is profitable.

We can't even rearrange the deck chairs of this sinking shift, and are collectively hoping when we run aground they will magically rearrange in the way we personally would prefer. No one will be happy (again).
