Retro Computer Museum Devastated by Flood

Sad News for Gaming Enthusiasts

Retro gaming history is at risk as the well-regarded Retro Computer Museum in Leicestershire (UK) has been hit by flooding, causing significant damage.

According to a Facebook post from the museum, "Unfortunately, due to really terrible flooding, the museum will be closed this weekend". They estimate that four inches of water have inundated their main building while up to ten inches have impacted their arcade area.

Community Support Needed

The aftermath of such damage is profoundly saddening for not just fans but for any history enthusiast. With many vital items potentially ruined by the flood, they are currently seeking support and donations to help with repairs and restoration efforts:

He has posted a few videos now which cover his losses. An incredible amount of irrecoverable stuff was lost.

Oh damn, that's such a shame. This place isn't that far from me, and I had a great time when I visited before. Once they're back up and running I highly encourage people to check it out!

Really concerned about their Virtuality machines. Clunky 90s VR setup, pretty sure they had one of the only working multiplayer setups in the world. Fascinating to see and even more awesome to be able to play it.

Overall super concerned for them, will be donating. Itโ€™s a fantastic place ran by dedicated people.
