Just for anyone who hasn't been following this, the russian response to the BEKs (Ukrainian kamikaze drone boats, also called SeaBabies) has been to kit out their helicopters for naval warfare and hunt them down. Its been pretty effective too, until the last few weeks when AFU started jury-rigging some of the BEKs in each group with anti-air missile launchers. As happened here, now the helicopters are getting lured out to attack BEKs and instead end up getting blown out of the sky by surprise air defense! The russians are in Cope Overdrive in response, and it is -delecious-. I highly recommend the Topwar piece about this, it's a masterpiece of bad propaganda.

Anyone know what a BEK is in this context? I recall reading the helicopters were shot down by sea drones

Gotcha, just a case of language differences I suppose. Thanks
