Christopher Nolan’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.

I'll watch it but he's got a lot of work to do if he wants to do better than O Brother Where Art Thou.

Finally! The sequel to Troy we’ve all been waiting for…

They should make it take 10 years to release the last one so that all of the actors can realistically age along with the story

Well I guess Christian Bale will be in it then.

Shouldn't he do The Illiad first?

Hmm... If the dialogue is in the original Greek, we'll probably get subtitles, which would help a lot with Nolan's increasingly muddled sound mixes. I miss being able to understand what the characters in his films say. Here's hoping.

Nah, it will be in Greek and he will make the artistic choice to drown it out with music because you don't need to understand it anyway.

Music doesn't drown out subtitles.

subtitles will rapidly change between the spoken dialogue and descriptions of the music.

he'll make the captions like 4pt font size to convey that experience /s
