Can I ask how polluting the data will help?

It makes data less reliable.

How do we know if a certain profile is genuine vs someone dicking around. Or mostly genuine and the person didn’t do some malicious compliance for certain parts of the app they don’t care about.

If it becomes a social trend and someone gets caught, it would be easier to say they lied cause they wanted to do a tick tock challenge.

I don't know what you mean by good data comes with proper consent.

When someone wants to help the data collectors then they would do more proper hygiene to their profile, keep things up to date and give honest feedback. Whereas someone like me never gives consent for data without being forced, so I always try to give as little and lie as much as I can.

I guess the assumption I made was that practically everyone knows apps and websites track them in some shape or form (even the least tech savvy person knows websites get total amount of visits), so “acting like no one is tracking you” isn’t ever true to begin with. Especially given this context for a period tracking app.

I’ve already commented but sorry I got to say

“The first ever mention of an ancient land called Israel was by an Egyptian Pharaoh, Merneptah, 3429 years ago,” reads a meme that has made the rounds on Facebook. “The first ever mention of an ancient land called Palestine was by an Egyptian opportunist, Yasser Arafat, 57 years ago.”

Literally the Do you have a flag argument.

Am Canadian.

Canada didn’t exist a few hundred years ago.

Are we made up people too?

I don’t want to victim blame but if using an app is optional and it could get you in trouble with the law (regardless of how bad the law is), you should not use it.

Having said that, as a dev, please pollute data as much as possible.

Management needs to learn how valuable good data is and good data comes with proper consent (most people wouldn’t share their data if they could opt out).

There are dozens of us, dozens!!

Don’t kill the drone’s dog.

Similar to what others have said but with a slightly different take:

Fast foods have fortified themselves as the backup plan in everyday life.

Some people, including me at some point, have accepted that they are gonna have a meal or two a week when a busy day happens and no leftover is in the fridge.

Thankfully ive learned that as long as you don’t leave it to the last minute, you can probably do a decent take out.

You guys need to think of the DNC as more of a for profit business.

From that perspective, they were super successful in making so much money.

Remember, there can be more money made when you intentionally lose, similar to butch in pulp fiction.

It was also copium. After the infamous debate we all knew Biden wouldn’t win and had made a mistake.

The fact that he actually backed down just gave a lot of enthusiasm to what could come next. It was historic and made us all stop focusing on the fact that he should have never ran for 2024 in the first place.

No, I saw it in theatres, what happens?

Not only was it a good spoof, it had a point about the commercializations of sports.

I’ve been watching old classics that I’ve never seen like the shining or predator.

I couldn’t believe how good The Thing was, just how the story structure developed and the ending giving the perfect existential dread.

I’ll see myself out.

They are honestly both good, but can’t beat the native ios experience.
