the first second i see an ad on my desktop is the last second i willingly use windows
Windows
For all things Windows.
Good news! They've been doing this since Windows 95.
Damn this guy’s gonna have to go back in time to switch to slackware
I got win10, just installed a new Brother printer, now i am getting ink/toner ads mascaraed as notifications
that's brother's software. they have added a lot of crud to them in recent versions.
when they're actually needed: custom install, drivers only, and along the way watch for any optional and undesirable settings to disable.
Someone didn't get enterprise...
I too am running Win11 24H Production build 26100.2605 , and ~~do not see these System/Notifications/Additional Settings, so, yeah, that's weird~~ edit: they were all the way down at the bottom of the page past the list of applications
I've had those tips turned off since installation.
Been downvoted to hell for saying it, but the only ad I see is some innocuous crap on the lock screen. That's it.
probably because you've already turned off the 'features' that show them.
that lockscreen crap can be turned off, too, btw.
