Memmy on iPhone is my daily driver for Lemmy. In comparison the experience on a desktop browser is somewhat bland.

Are they any options on Windows?

Honestly, I like the somewhat bland interface of the web version of Lemmy. It works, it's performative, and not slow.

Nitpick: itโ€™s performant (capable of a high level of performance), but not performative (being done as a performance).

I've recently found Photon which is nice!

[โ€“] ser@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Voyager is very good on the phone and desktop.

https://wefwef.app/

I do have it on my phone, despite said phone running Android - it's great!

Never thought to use it on my desktop though, I'll have to give that a go.

Dev of Photon here, despite basically 3 comments being made about my client and getting 1 pull requests I am literally shaking lmao

Oh, hello there! In that case, thank you for your hard work ok Photon! It's a fantastic frontend to Lemmy and I hope that one day my frontend skills can even be a fraction of what yours are! ๐Ÿ˜…

Or alexandrite

It's truly fantastic and very promising!

Nice one, thanks

https://mlmym.org maybe. Depends what youโ€™re looking for

I wasnโ€™t necessarily looking for a Reddit clone. I am being spoiled by Memmy and want the same kind of customisable control on my PC.

Iโ€™d love something like RES. For now I just stay on mobile, what I saw of interface when I made my account made me stay off. I do believe wefwef works though

I genuinely couldnโ€™t get on with it for some reason.

On mobile I think itโ€™s hard to beat Memmy.

Itโ€™s the desktop experience that I think is lacking.

I like Alexandrite so far

[โ€“] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There was an earlier post where someone made a Dracula theme for Lemmy using userstyles for your browser.

https://userstyles.world/style/10759/draculemmy-a-dracula-theme-for-lemmy

https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/665490 (I don't know how to do a special Lemmy link to a specific post on your own instance, sorry :/)

[โ€“] sicjoke@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I saw this, and itโ€™s a decent paint job on the existing UI but I can help thinking how much I would like a dedicated client on windows.

mlmym.org if you still have withdrawal symptoms from leaving reddit. When youโ€™re ready for a more modern look, alexandrite.app

[โ€“] sicjoke@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Iโ€™m not trying to replicate the look of Reddit. In fact I think that was shittier on desktop and used it exclusively on my phone.

Alexandrite.app looks interesting though. Thanks.

The only one I know of is https://mlmym.org/, which is a clone of old reddit

Just use Kbin.
