As the article states, the inclusion of the nudes in the newsletter allows a very clear path for criminal charges in D.C. and Georgia under their respective revenge porn legislation. She should receive charges for both.

In any sane world, a member of congress would be immediately expelled for presenting literal nudes, without permission and in bad faith, of a sitting POTUS' family member, who is not, nor has ever been a member of the administration or government employee.

Congratulations to Vladimir Putin and the CCP, as your work to dismantle the U.S. through propaganda and mainstreaming batshit tinfoil-hat insanity through promoting these ridiculous, unserious elected officials like Greene, Paul, Jordan, Comer, Gaetz, Santos, et al, has been incredibly effective.

I blame Fox "News" more than any foreign government.

[–] Pratai@lemmy.ca 21 points 1 year ago

Fox News is a mouthpiece for foreign government, so…. Same thing.

Unfortunately if Matt Gaetz, who actually trafficked and had sex with a minor, is anything to go by, this will hardly shift the needle.

[–] sadreality@kbin.social 32 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah one of them examples where age is JUST a number and jail is JUST a place... sadly, our "leaders" don't have to follow the same laws.

The faster this cunt disappears the better everyone will be.

[–] Cossacks@lemm.ee 59 points 1 year ago (17 children)

She spreads nothing but hate, I agree the quicker she is out the better we are and we can move forward.

[–] RedditWanderer@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago

Not always hate! Very kind of her to be Biden's spokesperson for his campaign!

I hate her face Jesus Christ. I know that’s not an intelligent thing to say but…

[–] Behaviorbabe@kbin.social 53 points 1 year ago

I know. Im the same. I think seeing her face is associated with a lot of hateful things she’s said and done and perpetuates.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 36 points 1 year ago (4 children)

She looks like a horse with sunburn.

It's not unintelligent. People are extremely adept at reading facial expressions and microexpressions. Years of evolution / survival instinct development have made us extremely skillful at knowing a lot about a person based on their face / eyes. Our lives depended on it, you see.

Your survival instincts (which are smart) are telling you she's an untrustworthy, toxic individual that you probably shouldn't keep around in your community, and in this case they're right. Everything else she says and does backs up your instincts too, so this isn't just a one-off thing.

I have little doubt that MAGA republichudism was wholely responsible for the KKKonvoy rallies that cost the Canadian economy literally billions of dollars in a matter of days with their illegal blockades.

I'd be remiss if I didn't quote one of my favorite saved comments from that-content-aggregator-which-shall-not-be-named...

Dude grow up...

We did it with smallpox

We did it with polio

We did it with measles

I've got an "almost" centenarian in the family. Dude grew up watching German zeppelins on the front line of invasion, his folks were both mostly bald from the Spanish flu. When he immigrated to Canada (on a boat) he had to get another round of vaccinations even though he had the full onslaught in the army while babysitting German POWs as they removed landmines from the beaches of his home country. Ask anyone 75+ how many of their childhood friends died from what are now preventable diseases.

If you think the shit were taking now is untested, what the hell do you think they were handing out back in the 20s and 50s.......

Have you ever traveled abroad? Like not to London, or Tokyo or somewhere nice.... But to somewhere shitty like Bangladesh, Nigeria, or Guinea? Do you have any idea how many people die in these countries every year from preventable diseases? You do know that even as a Canadian you legit cant board an aircraft in or out of these places without at the VERY least a yellow fever card right? Before vaccines it was pretty common for a boat to have to sit for a few weeks in quarantine at the destination before people were allowed to disembark... This is not new, this is not unique, this is not something to fuck around with.

Sit down, shut up, and take your medicine you spoiled little shit.

[–] paleasswhiteguy@lemmy.world 28 points 1 year ago

Fun fact!

The etymology of "quarantine" literally refers to the practice of making a ship sit at berth for 40 days before anyone could disembark. "Quarantina" means 40 days in Italian....

It's amazing how she, Boebert, and Gaetz are three of the biggest idiots probably ever to hold office in the House, yet they've been popular by spewing hate. That tells us what drives their base.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 33 points 1 year ago (2 children)

She did what they think gay and trans people do.

For someone that's not familiar with US politics. Who is Marjorie Taylor Greene and who is Hunter Biden? Why do they matter?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 58 points 1 year ago (6 children)

Hunter Biden is President Biden’s son. To be clear, he doesn’t work for the gooberment.

Greene is a congresswoman, House of Representatives from the state of Georgia. She’s a complete right wing nut. And makes howler monkeys look civilized

[–] RIPandTERROR@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 year ago

Honestly you're not exaggerating. If I was asked to pick between attempting to have a civil conversation with Greene or a howler monkey I think I'd have a better chance of success with the latter.

Marjorie Taylor Green, sometimes called MTG, is a representation and a result of the dumbing down of united state politics. She's a member of the far right party in this country and pushes conspiracies, racism, bigotry and hatred. She's possibly the least intelligent person to ever hold federal office in this country.

Hunter Biden is the son of the current US president. He holds no office and has nothing to do with politics, but because he's the president's son, the far right politicians spend a large amount of time trying to find anything they can to make him look bad. He's had problems with drugs and the law in the past so there's a decent amount there for them to attack.

Incredibly stupid question, but, if she was charged and convicted of this, wouldn’t she have to register as a sex offender? That would be rather amusing.

She DEFINITELY did this, but she MAY have gotten caught doing it.

[–] flop_leash_973@lemmy.world 26 points 1 year ago

And while nothing will most likely happen to her for this if it is true, any of us caught doing such things would already be buried under the jail.

[–] killadelphia@sh.itjust.works 26 points 1 year ago (5 children)

Hopefully. I would love to see her go to jail.

She is fucked. If she sent nudes of Hunter Biden to her constituents then the DOJ will absolutely come after her for that. Insane doesn’t come close to describing what may have happened here.

How long do you think before she turns around and calls LGBTQ+ people or drag queens "groomers" again?

I think the article below it is funnier

“Joe Biden had the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete,” Marjorie Taylor Greene said at the conservative Turning Point Action conference over the weekend. Except … she meant it all as an insult?

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I've heard people on the left saying they wish Biden was what the GOP say he is.
