The 1776 Gastonia housing development promises to blend patriotism and freedom, honoring the ideals that built this country. Developer Brock Fankhauser calls it a movement. Specifically, 1776 Gastonia is a planned community for people — or rather, "patriots" — 55 and up.

All completely missing the irony that forced speech is antithetical to free speech that patriots love so much.

They wanna know exactly who to scam next, and this is honestly a pretty good indicator. Best part? They'll be estranged from most of their sane family just by refusing to listen to reason and moving here in the first place.

How much you want to bet it's "whites only"?

Not according to the advertising on the sites landing page at least, but we'll see what the community ends up like if and when it actually gets built. Mostly just looks like a crazier than normal HOA.

I would have never thought to give them traffic, but since you have, I have to humorously ask: do they really go out of their way to make sure everyone knows it's not whites only? I mean, in a "methinks the lady doth protest too much" kind of way?

Oh, it's a movement alright. But it's the kind of movement that usually precedes a flushing sound.

The Gastonia High Priest of the order of the Flag Worship will soon be demanding human sacrifices. It seems the daily chant of pretended veneration (aka "Pledge of Allegience") isn't enough to satisfy its lust for blood.

Good luck getting all the disabled old people to take their flag down every night and put it back up every morning.

I’m all for it. Put them all in the same neighborhood. Makes every other neighborhood in the area nicer by default, and easier for everyone to know which neighborhood not to spend money in.

Makes sense since it sounds like Genosha and the Friends of Humanity would definitely like both.
