Dude is from Springfield, Ohio. His life has been actively made worse by Trump and his supporters constantly tormenting his town, calling in bomb threats, showing up and harassing people, etc. And he is STILL licking the boot and hating on Dems for no f**king reason. This cop, at the very least, is certainly a bastard, and a stupid one at that.

Hes a long term buddy of the chief deputy, so that did it for him. The chief said he's known him for 40 years and doesn't think this outburst will impact his policing.
So instead of getting reprimanded in any real sense or getting fired, he got a strongly worded letter and had to make a public apology that let him blame it all on Ambien.
Oh, you're on a sleep medication that interferes with your capacity for self-control? Sounds like you shouldn't be in a high-stress job with lots of responsibility and power.
Somehow makes it worse, I don't know why I say somehow, these guys are the master of "look at how deep I can dig this hole without any ramifications"

If someone in my company has a meltdown, we remove access and privileges. They're a liability and we don't need someone to flip out and take down some critical system.
This guy has guns and in America, police are consistently protected from consequences.

Taking drugs that impacts judgement and results in irrational actions sounds like a good reason to not be allowed access to firearms, much less placed in a position of power or authority.
