Mobvoi's alternatives always boasted of much longer battery life than Pixel or Galaxy counterparts. The author moans about lack of Google Assistant support and wireless charging but honestly, significantly larger battery life is more than worth any Assistant.

Also, wireless charging might be more convenient but it generates a lot of wasted heat and my Galaxy Watch throttles when charging via WPC mechanism in high temperatures.

One valid criticism is the slow rate of upgrades that this company gives and it's lesser international availability.

After my GPS 3 Ultra, never buying MobVoi again, ugh.

Such a sad experience. Started out well, got updates 2-3 years later after apps stopped working due to the old OS version, and then those updates broke the entire experience.

The hardware is really nice. The software is so bad that I go out with a Wundr watch half the time now. A mechanical watch. Yes. Because fuck Mobvoi and their way of making you appreciate non-smart watches.

In the same boat here, buying a TicWatch 3 was a waste of money... In the end, a cheap Mi Band does what I expect of a smart watch better than the premium priced TicWatch. All I really need is reliable notifications and Mobvoi can't even deliver that.

I'm staying well away from anything Mobvoi and I recommend everyone else do the same. Good hardware held back by awful software.

I knew their update policy was bad, didn't knew it was this bad.

Couldn't they have made it bigger?

I love Mobvoi, but switched to Galaxy after the 4Pro because their support and updates sucks.

Galaxy isn't very good on updates either. Haven't seen one on the Watch 5 Pro in a year.

Ticwatch method of updates comes in the form of a new watch, want an update, buy a new watch

Hey, it has a barometric pressure sensor, that's cool. OG Galaxy Watch had one, then the WearOS replacements got rid of it.

$350 and it comes with USB-A? Not a chance in hell would I buy that.
