The GOP Governor of Ohio wrote a NY Times op-ed essay on how nice Springfield is and how the Haitians there are all fine people. He went on to say that he's voting for Trump.
DeWine is the epitome of the person who doesn’t agree with fascism but would rather support it than anyone an inch to his left
when their political affiliation becomes their identity and they got that identity because their parents were republican and their parents parents were republican. there're already too far gone and have zero critical thinking skills.
and the remaining 2/3 of the electorate is unsure about depriving millions of americans of basic welfare, equality and security, but it's probably fine
Given the stark polling, I'd imagine most of the unsure people likely just haven't heard of Project 2025 / don't know what's in it
it's such a weird thing to be on top of foreign politics when people who are the most concerned with the outcome of that vote are oblivious to what's at stake
For anyone who has a bit of time, I highly encourage volunteering for the campaign. Many of the methods of volunteering are about educating voters
Find opportunities to volunteer for dems around you
EDIT: looks like you might not be in the US, but still recommend volunteering for progressive parties around you if you can

I felt the same way watching AfD win seats in Germany's election.
yeah it's awful. In a good French fashion, I went out on the street to demonstrate against this disgusting party. More and more it feels like that voting alone won't be enough to safeguard democracy...
According to the new poll, less than a quarter of those surveyed—23 percent—had never heard of it or were unsure of how they felt. Polling released in July by progressive firm Navigator Research showed that more than half of Americans reported being familiar with Project 2025—double the amount who reported familiarity with it just a month earlier.

The new poll does not distinguish between unsure of how one feels and never heard of project 2025. (I did dig into the poll document itself too)

Apologies, I meant to reply to @morgunkorn@discuss.tchncs.de. Regardless of the unsure/unfamiliar, you have 77% who are sure of how they feel, far from 1/3. Of those, 23/77=30% hate it and 7/77%=9% like it.

Could the percentage of familiar people have decreased?
Note that a good chunk of the poll, people selected neutral which may very well still be a "I don't know much about this". Familiar can also mean "I have heard the name before"
Because deep down, most Republican voters are not conservatives. They're reactionary that don't understand which political affiliations are which and they buy into propaganda hook line and sinker. Ask one of these people 1 on 1 if they support a country where their children receive a good education or a country where you don't go broke for visiting the doctor.
