Am I a joke to you?

Obviously their mod is different but I gotta show love.

Yeah but rumble

edit: ok

bold and not

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Extra points if you edit it so that the letters alternate between bold and not.
Edit: it's beautiful

Did the wavebird really not have rumble? Huh.

[–] steal_your_face@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It did not. Didn’t the first ps3 controllers not have rumble also?

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

But the Wavebird came out after the original GameCube controller so it seems like a regression. I imagine there was some legitimate reason for it, like the battery was already dying too fast.

Considering used AA batteries I would say that battery was definitely a factor. It basically brought in the era of wireless controllers, though, so I’d say it was pretty good.

I was about to say "have you seen the price of them in 2024" but it's actually down quite a bit from when I last looked

I might finally get myself one

[–] Taco2112@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

A friend of mine dabbles in video game collecting so I knew the price was high there for a bit. My OG Wavebird is in a plastic tub in my parent’s basement with the rest of my old video game gear.

Sorry. They put the whole bin out in a yard sale for five bucks (I talked them down to 2).

[–] JDPoZ@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I’d wait for one of these.

I'm having trouble using my sn30 pro on steam os. Really a little sad about that but I don't think it's the controller I think it's my Bluetooth settings being weird.

[–] Schmeckinger@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Im using a ultimate Bluetooth on my deck without issue. Its getting detected as a switch pro controller.

[–] atrielienz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I wouldn't say I got it figured out, but I shut down and restarted and it started working as it should. So no harm no foul.

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Switch modes, when I'm having trouble it's usually on X when it should be D or vice versa

[–] atrielienz@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I actually did a restart and it's fixed now. No idea what changed but it's working great.

[–] astrsk@fedia.io 4 points 1 month ago

Had no idea they had mod kits! Definitely gonna grab this and the N64 kit.

Damn I might have to look at this. I was thinking about getting a NYXI Wizard since that one acts as Joycons

Edit: Oh it's just a modkit. I don't own a GameCube controller lol
