Would be great to have a functional healthcare system instead of relying on trillion dollar companies charging us too much for healthcare ~~protects~~ products made by children.

TbF a medical device company would charge even more, they would be twice as ugly and they would probably suck at playing music.

TBF it wouldn't in a functional healthcare system.

TbF assuming you are talking about US, my pet unicorn could just heal me with her laser eyes as this is slightly more likely to happen than a functional healthcare system.

For a brief moment, we made a lot of money for our investors from less ugly, way more exclusionary tech.

You would rather be indirectly gouged by a no-name brand that creates an inferior one-off product than buy an Apple product.

This is the hill you chose and no amount of government healthcare can save you from it.

My mother already has bluetooth in ear hearing aids that you cannot see. Quit jerking off Apple, edgelord.

Cool. Every tech paper I've read has said how terrible their hearing aids are compared to AirPods, so your anecdote is meaningless.

Also, did that hearing aid retail for under $300?

Tech papers are not anecdotal.

You will never regret or acknowledge the error.

Enjoy your hill.

Can we have links to said papers?

Would be great to have a body that wasn't prone to malfunction and degradation at every single opportunity... But yeah I guess that government stuff should be fixed too

About ten years too late for me, tinnitus go ^eeeeeeeeeee^

[–] OmegaLemmy@discuss.online 3 points 2 months ago

I always wondered why it didn't exist until now...

[–] Mr_Blott@feddit.uk 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Fuck you Apple. You patent-trolled Bluetooth hearing aids for a decade so people couldn't use it unless they bought your overpriced shit

Go shite in your hands and clap, cunts

[–] CandleTiger@programming.dev 8 points 2 months ago

First I’m hearing this claim — what did Apple do to Bluetooth hearing aids? My mother has been using Bluetooth hearing aids for a couple years now that have nothing to do with Apple, are you saying Apple was standing in the way of that?

[–] wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I've never heard of this insult before, but it's fucking great
