But the drama is pretty interesting:
Ren is an English musician who blew up busking in London.
He had crazy health issues and spent like a year in the hospital. When he got better and got out he wrote Sick Boi about his experience with modern healthcare. For the song he bought a beat from some online store, for a flat fee. He tweaked it a little, but gave credit and paid for it.
Song blew up, and I think he even got a #1 album out of it?
Then it turns out the beat he bought had an unauthorized sample, so they're demanding 50% of everything, and the guy who sold the beat (Kujo) never got paid because that shit was going on. Plus he was getting like 3k and believes he should be paid more since it blew up.
Ren's lawyers were also telling Kujo that he's on the hook to pay the 50% cuz he stole the beat, but he's broke as fuck and the 3k was a lot.
At some point Ren and Kujo's girl start dming, and she goes from cool to "joking" they were gonna break Ren's kneecaps, then ran to reddit and made shit up about Ren.
