I used GrapheneOS until my phone got too old and GrapheneOS didn't support it anymore. Then I was forced to switch to LineageOS (or buy a new phone).
GrapheneOS is great, but the downside is it only runs on a small number of models.

CalyxOS is a similar custom rom which still supports the older Pixel phones aswell as the Fairphone 4
my old Pixel 3 is still rocking on newest Android with monthly updates
GrapheneOS sounds great until you hear it's only available for the Pixel.
That's by design - unfortunately only Pixel has the correct hardware for some security modules. You'd be less secure if you were able to install it on any other phone.
Darn, I've been boycotting the Pixel ever since Google broke my 4 XL and tried to get me to pay to have them repair it.
sounds great. this is why i wish mobile phones had something equivalent to a standard of some kind (is it called uefi/bios or something) so that it would be universal like on pc when it comes to installing different oses, so for example you could install grapheneos on any phone, etc. but sadly it didn't turn out like that, and now oses and custom roms (idk why they are called that) have to be manually ported to every single device seperately.
Switched from iPhone to GrapheneOS about six months ago. Love that my phone now has so much more FOSS.
Any solution to get phone calls into your computer? Like what Apple between the iPhone and macOS computers?
KDE connect, but requires Bluetooth to work (android framework restriction)
Thanks for the tip. Bluetooth isn't perfect and I hope Android allows for wifi in the future but well.
Does it work with Google Fi?
Using it with Fi right now.
I used it for a few months and liked it. I switched back to stock. I'm considering trying out /e/os on my Pixel 4a 5g but it bricked when flashing so I'm going to try to fix that tomorrow.
