I like to explore lemmy. Sort by "Top Last Hour" and with "All Communities" to find something you like. I am subscribed to about one hundred communities so far :3

Remember this will only find communities you're instance already knows about, so it's worth a browse through lemmyverse.net occasionally to find new ones that pop up.

Lemmy and kbin in general just by themselves are amazing. So different compared to Reddit. Redditors on some subs think they are elites. This place is friendly. I haven’t been ask through lemmy yet but I really like it

Every post I've scrolled across from !woodworking@lemmy.ca has had me more and more tempted to get into woodworking and I'm loving it tbh

I've wondered how this came to Canada, but sure.

[–] loz@aussie.zone 9 points 1 year ago

Lots of trees :)

I'm in Canada and recently got into woodworking! Must be something in the air here...

Yes, there are trees in the air in Canada...the ashes of burning trees.

Favorite Instances:

lemmy.dbzer0.com - Piracy Friendly - My current Instance

lemmy.fmhy.ml - Piracy Friendly - My second "go to" instance in-case mine gets shut down.

reddthat.com - Name sound cool, like reddit but instead of "it" it's "that" - I'm not sure I want to use this one, but maybe I will because of the cool name. I prefer piracy friendly instances, which this one doesn't seem to be.

Communities:

!piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com - Sail the High Seas!

!android@lemdro.id - As an android user, it's a lovely community

!nostupidquestions@lemmy.world - I have a lot of odd questions I need to be explained

!chat@beehaw.org - I love having a place just to talk

Redthat at local/top-day was all just anime girls.

Oh lol, I typically use All/Hot so I never seen those.

If you're into it, https://slrpnk net is a pretty sweet instance. Lots of ecological and other solar punk communities. It's where I set up the new NoLawns community.

!nolawns@slrpnk.net

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using an URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !nolawns@slrpnk.net
