the chaotic pattern hides stains and discoloration. Smart design actually

I enjoy that video as much as the next person. But I wonder if what we're seeing here isn't that the foam in the seat has deteriorated and by whacking it like that they are basically sifting up through the fabric.

I’m not sure it would be that color brown, would it?

[–] ClockworkN@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well I'm picturing that old yellow stuff, add in some sweat and liquid discoloration and... Maybe?

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

I could see it. Regardless, it’s super gross.

It's harder to see the cum stain

[–] cheddar@programming.dev 8 points 2 months ago (4 children)

Why would there be a cum stain? o_O

[–] Iapar@feddit.org 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It is the public. Everything is piss, cum, shit or something died there.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

its a sort of upholstered indoor bench setup designed for multiple people to sit next to each other on.

what common home object does that remind you of?

[–] cheddar@programming.dev 9 points 2 months ago

I can't think of any object at my home that has cum stains. I'm no JD Vance though.

Sexy bus couch

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

I use the bus all the time. There are times where everyone on board is so jaded I think to myself how easy it would be to jerk off and get away with it

I’m not sure what you sent, all I see is a hotel lobby

[–] TehWorld@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I REALLY hope that it was someone paid $20 and they designed it in 10 minutes. The truth is that it probably cost tens of thousands of dollars and went through 3 committees before it was approved.

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago

And the original artist was only ever paid $20

Where I live, it's not just buses. We put the same shit on carpet and upholstery in a lot of public buildings. We just like tacky fabric that way, I guess.

No, I'm thinking of things mostly in Calgary, but good to know it's not just Alberta.

Vegas at least has some licence to be tacky, though. Here, the guy in charge just spent a little too much time staring at snowdrifts or something.

[–] gmtom@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago
