My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.
Other communities:
Exactly.
I'm ~1900 hours on Elite Dangerous Odyssey.
Right now I login only to bomb Titans for decals and ship kits >.>
Pending any community goals or actual storyline progression. I just take long breaks.
Sorta shitty thing the company did gatekeeping their first new ship in years being $ purchase. Sorta really mad about that.
I am still pissed about consoles being permanently dropped. I fully get dropping support for Xbox One, but I am on Series X and there is no reason that cannot be supported. Heck, even Series S could run Elite without issue. Its not a technical problem preventing them.
I think I have logged in about once or twice on PC because the forced the transfer to PC. Killed my interest in playing completely.
Personally I don't know you so I might be wrong, but based on what you described sounds like you're doing it more as a chore than having fun
hello fellow CMDR o7 ED had so much potential to be...more, yet there are hardly many games that fill that void so I keep on coming back lol. surprisingly, Subnautica has everything I ever wanted in a space game without being a space game
The only winning move is to not play.
Many of them are also competitive games that can't be "finished" whether they had new content or not.
Just stop when it's not fun. And stop buying the promise of content (IE season passes at launch) to make yourself feel obligated to play something you don't even necessarily find fun.
I want to get off Mr. Bones' Wild Ride
