We know that he's personally a massive fan of the series, but I wouldn't want him to do it out of fandom, he deserves the money and recognition more than the series deserves his music
And now I'm expecting Microsoft to shut down id regardless of how well the game does. Ugh, I hate that it's where my mind goes at announcements like this.
DOOM 2016 and Eternal were both great games. Maybe even excellent. But the formula, for me at least, started to get old by the end of Eternal.
I alone in NOT wanting another sequel?
I'd rather get a new Quake game, particularly one following the story from the first game. But if we get another Doom, I'd like something different at least. The formula from nu-Doom and Eternal doesn't need another go.
