You can disagree that’s fine but history will condemn you as a cunt. ✌🏾

I've never given a shit about Eurovision. In fact I've always thought the idea that Australians give a shit about a wacko European song contest is kinda dumb.

But this guy might just change my mind this year. Mad respect.

This might change your mind a bit more: https://tribunemag.co.uk/2021/07/the-icelandic-popstars-who-brought-palestine-to-eurovision

Icelandic band Hatari held up the Palestinian flag at Eurovision in 2019.

I fucking love Hatari in general.

They went on to collaborate with Palestinian musician Bashar Murad: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Xy84LnL_ghA

Bashar Murad actually competed to represent Iceland this year, but came runner-up.

You can't have a blowdart of that calibre, it just won't work

Even though I didn't really like the Australian entry this year that much, I'm still glad they did this.

Why the fuck is Israel still participating in Eurovision? And the second semi final is in about half an hour by the time I'm writing this comment, which Israel is in. Yeah, I'm turning off my telly once they show up.

Also, you won't believe this, bit Eric Saade (Sweden 2011) wore a keffiyeh wristband during his interval performance in the first semi final, yep the EBU noticed and was mad at him.

Also, the Irish entrant this year, Bambie Thug had the word "ceasefire" written in Ogham script on their face. That's right, the EBU noticed and was mad at them. How the fuck did they notice? Nobody even knows the Ogham script.

I feel like this year, although filled with such amazing songs, is ruined by what is basically politics, putting both the Israeli entrant, Eden Golan, as well as Palestinian supporters and people of Palestinian descent in danger, even though this is supposed to be a fun song contest. Israel is totally causing disrepute, it would be incredibly stupid if they stayed ANOTHER year.

Also, an update, Israel did indeed qualify to the final, goddammit Israel.

I don't see it, honestly.
