yes, this is exactly how I end up in romantic relationships
Annoying social butterflies are my favourite people. They talk at me and don't care that I'm not listening and they introduce me to all their friends. It's the only way I know how to make friends.
This explains most of my relationships

Not autistic; I have social needs and crippling social anxiety.
My brain initially thought that you weren't acoustic.
Not sure what to do with that, so I'm awkwardly sharing.
Could be a cyborg? I believe the politically correct term for a cyborg from the US is "semi-acoustic American".
I have the same thing. Sort of. I mean I don't make the first move because of crippling social anxiety also, and I hate to say it, but it just gets worse when you get older.
The only good thing is, as you get older you stop worrying about it as much. You develop a more "it is what it is" attitude about everything.
Shy people are dangerous. I learned my lesson from too many friendships with shy people who were abusive. Now I only make friends with assertive people who can proactively problem solve and be honest about their feelings.
