When one person speaks out, another pulls the trigger.

Those two gun shots wound in the back is clearly a suicide.

Violently, unexpectedly, and in a place a door wasn't supposed to be

[–] Gork@lemm.ee 9 points 7 months ago

I would love it if this became their actual company slogan.

I read this as "when one door opens, another door opens"

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 8 points 7 months ago

When one door closes, that same door blows out at 35,000 feet.

If the plane business isn't enough, there is always the thrill ride business.

Did something happen? I've seen Boeing mentioned a few times now

A door fell off from a Boeing 737 mid air because they skimped on QA testing.

Govt launched some investigations into Boeing.

A whistleblower who was a former Boeing employee who was testifying against Boeing for lackluster safety inspections "suicided" in the middle of the case.

About half a dozen 'incidents' over the last 3-4 months. Doors falling off, wheels falling off, windshield exploding, etc. All while flying. Including two on the same day. Fortunately no one has died (yet) (apart from a whistleblower).

I’ve got news for you. 346 people died from two Boeing planes going down in 2018 and 2019. It was the 737 Max plane that had a known issue. I HIGHLY recommend watching John Oliver’s bit on Boeing because he explains everything far better than I could.

[–] emergencyfood@sh.itjust.works 2 points 7 months ago

Oh yes, but Boeing (1) initially blamed the pilots for not being white and (2) when caught, promised to debug the faulty software. So the fact that such incidents are still happening is funny.

I think there is something going on about them using subpar parts which failed inspection

[–] AnarchoSnowPlow@midwest.social 3 points 7 months ago

When Boeing closes a door, it opens a window.
