Of fucking course they do. Why else would they shitcan 5% of their employees. I'd be shocked if Epic, Sony and Microsoft aren't doing the exact same thing: fire your creative employees and replace them with a LLM that can churn out Gaming Content that's easy to monetize. Goodbye original game ideas and hello live service cash grabs.

And it will backfire spectacularly. Just look at Suicide Squad and The Avengers. And that actually had creative people working on them.
