One of the two games I'm glad I bought at full price. Awesome.

Cross platform modding would be amazing. Mods on consoles will such a boon for the longevity of this game.

I'd settle for keeping Mac/Win versions in sync first!

Does this mean it's finally going to be less of a pain to mod on linux? I still can't get it to work and I've tried every method I could find

I’ve recently had success with minimal (read: some) pain using BG3ModManager.

Unfortunately trying to play multiplayer gave me the dreaded GustavDev version mismatch, but that’s not specific to Linux.

I really can't wait until linux gets a proper mod loader

Might try asking the several Linux communities, they might have some tips based on your specific setup, if you're cool sharing log dumps and config files.

I'm using vortex through steamtinkerlaunch, and it's working as expected. If you haven't tried that, give it a go.

Out of curiosity, in your opinion if I'm trying to start the game and quickly determine if it's properly modded or not what mod should I test?

Also no luck so far with steam tinker launch
