It will be cool if we could get some of these great Reddit clients working on Lemmy

Indeed. I've used RiF forever with Reddit, it has such a nice clean interface and is so well polished. It's such a shame to throw something like that away.
Exactly these app have had years of development and polish I would hate for it to just get thrown away.
Not to mention I could see it being an easier transition for users going from Reddit to Lemmy if they have somewhat of a familiar interface.
would 100% support Sync for Lemmy! I loved Sync and would be nice to have it back
Absolutely!
I used Baconreader when I first joined Reddit, then switched to an iPhone and got Alienblue just weeks before it went away, switched to Apollo and loved it, but it's iOS only, so when I switched back to Android I had to leave it. Wasn't super impressed with Baconreader by then, so I tried out several others (RiF, Sync, etc.) and Sync was my favorite. Been using it for years.
I'd be absolutely delighted to have it for Lemmy.
Jury is still out for me whether I'll stay here, but having Sync for Lemmy would go a long way!

Hell yeah let's see it! I think some of the problems the Jerboa app has can be fixed with a "ported" Reddit app, such as the text input.
