I'm glad there's no karma, hopefully that'll mean less bots that steal posts, get loads of karma, then sell those accounts to people who use them to scam.

Good riddance. The karma system on Reddit is worthless. It's supposed to let users flag spam and bot content, but it's used as an agree/disagree button in reality. Users still lose posting privileges from having low karma and have to farm it in "free upvotes" subreddits... which spammers and bots happily abuse.
That was actually something I used to help decide if an account was a bot or not, but it was only a minor part of the puzzle.
Screw Karma, honestly a terrible system of promoting content to others.

Just track your own karma: go through all your comments each day and add the upvotes :P
The cool thing about federation is someone could add this to their own instance
They can save themselves the effort. I already got a little notebook to do it manually.

Even if an account karma system was implemented, the federated nature of the site would make it easily exploitable/pointless anyway.
