Very excited Seattle-ite here! Finally I'll be able to easily move around the area! Unfortunate about the bridge, but hopefully a fast follow

Glad it's getting expanded. I live near a light rail station and I use it to get to downtown for work. Between that and the fact that I live between a couple of grocery stores in easy walking distance(not to mention a nice Asian market across the street with $6 banh mi!), I don't need a car.
Agreed! Recently moved back to Seattle and have yet to find a permanent place. But my goal is to be as close to a light rail station as possible so I don't have to rely on cars
Poor whales
I'm excited to see it expanded. Hopefully public use and esteem will increase as well. Last time I was home I rode from SeaTac to Northgate-- or I would have, if there wasn't a service disruption in the tunnel near Pioneer Square station which prompted two selfish impatient passengers to pull the emergency stop/exit release. The whole time they were complaining about how awful, slow, and unusable public transit is, before making public transit unusable for all the rest of us... I just hope their attitude/outlook is the minority so our infrastructure can improve.
I really love the Sound's transit system but I wish they had fare capping like TriMet :(
Also great to see we're getting light rail out to Bellevue!
It does seem like it's moving to a flat $3 fare soon no matter what stops you hit
