Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

If so, how? If not, please could that be added as a feature?

Hiding posts is the feature I always wish existed whenever I see a spider post.

I know this is for Jeroba but boost for lemmy has a filtered words list, you can definitely add spider to it.

It also used to have hide on read/downvote for the reddit version but it may not be implemented yet, as I can't find it in the settings. Anyway, sorry for suggesting a different app!

I really wish that was an option too.

We have the other comment talking about spiders as a topic, is that the kind of use-case you mean OP? If not, some examples/explanation would be good, even if it's just part of building up a feature request.

I assumed they meant something like a button to hide or downvote to hide post. But I mentioned the filters since that's all I've seen currently available among the lemmy apps

Yeah I just want some way to hide or otherwise prevent myself from viewing arbitrary individual posts. A button next to the post that does that when pressed would be a convenient solution.

If you are seeing a repeated post that you don't like I can recommend turning off read posts

It'll be in user settings; check the box next to "show read posts"

Other than that... There isn't much

I wish there was a way to mark things as read without reading or voting.
