Once, i got an unexpected, very welcome, present from Google. When my Nexus 5x 32 GB died, i sent it in for repair and got a brand new Nexus 5x 64 GB in return. No explanation from them, obviously no questions from me.

I was in heaven.

So I've actually got a new MicroSD card on my Amazon Wishlist for this exact reason... tired of seeing this shit everyday and deleting old stuff. I don't mind because lemmy but DAMN.

I mean do do you anything other than being on lemmy or watching star trek? The amount of posts and comments I saw today that you made is a lot.

check out SD Maid. it's pretty good at cleaning up junk files and useless bullshit eating storage. (I am still perpetually at 98% full, send help)

The main reason I upgraded every 2 years for a while was that my phone storage just wasn't enough. I've been there, one thing that can help is going in developer options and enabling "Force allow apps on external." That way you can put all the apps that are taking up a lot of storage on the microSD card.
