It's easy for me to unplug my headphones from my mic and plug it into my phone when switching devices for discord or listening to music. I also like wired headphones since they are harder to lose at least in my opinion.

I use it. I also use bluetooth headphones but wired headphones are more reliable. No connection problems. And I haven't tried bluetooth headphones with microphone so I don't know if they're any good. I need the microphone for phone calls.

I use it everyday, I still like wired earphones a lot.

I don't use earbuds much with it but whenever I do its with the headphone jack. Do you use earbuds any other way or is it just you don't use them often?

I use my ksc75 daily with the headphone jack.

I'm one of those who miss the headphone jack on mine. Half the time I can't get my wireless earbuds to work right (and I didn't completely cheap out on them), and I had to buy an expensive Bluetooth radio thing to connect it to my car radio because my car is too old to have that built in. An aux cord through the jack on my old phone worked just fine, even better, than that stupid thing.

I had wired headphones, went to a good wireless one (Sony WH-1000XM3), and I will never go back.

Most people I know that want the headphones jack back want it to be able to use good quality wired headphones they already own, mainly because they can't afford (or just don't want to buy) a good quality wireless one.

Seriously. If you can buy a new mid-range smartphone, you have enough to buy premium wireless headphones. If you can't, most cheap smartphones have audio jacks. Just skip this smartphone generation to buy good wireless headphones and you are set for years.

When I used to have a phone with a headphone jack and my car only had a radio/cd player, I always used it to get my phone’s audio into the car for navigation and music.

I've used a headphone jack on my phone probably three times in the past two years. It is extremely uncommon for me to use it, and I would actually just prefer it not be there.

I had wired headphones for very specific times, and since my new phone doesn't have the jack I'm not fully sure how I'll deal in those situations.

I don't use it every day because I'm at my PC a lot on a normal day, and I use wired headphones plugged in to that instead. I do use it often when traveling, both for IEM-style earbuds that block most external noise, and to plug into rental cars, family members' cars, etc... with an aux cable. Yes, Bluetooth is an option on most newer cars, but it's slower to set up than a cable, and not all the cars I end up driving are newer.

I’ve never liked or wanted a wire connecting me to my phone. It’s irritating and is a hugely negative stim for me, akin to nails on a chalkboard.

Used mine every day until that phone's screen stopped responding and at the time none of the otherwise decent phones with decent prices had a jack. Headphone jack will remain a consideration in my next phone purchase once this one dies.

I have to admit I also almost never use wired headphones nowadays. When the trend of removing the jack from phones picked up pace, I absolutely hated the idea of a lack of options. But I have to admit, the convenience of no wires outclassed the nuisance of charging my bluetooth headphones once a week. Still out of principle I don't buy headphones from the phone brand im currently using. There are too many good third party brands out there to consider first.

I do, but rarely. Maybe every other month or so. The situations I do use it, I've been thankful that I avoided phones without a jack. I like having appropriate tools at my disposal, and bluetooth will never be universally applicable.

My only wired headphones are for gaming (not on my phone), and I'm planning to replace those soon with something wireless as I'm tired of getting tangled up getting in and out of my desk.

Wireless headphones are great. Not perfect, but neither are wired.

another strong "yes" from me. my wired headset has much better speech quality than bluetooth ones. i didn't upgrade my phone since the new Pixels dropped the headphone jack, instead i fixed the screen and battery and keep it another couple of years

Often enough to want it. I use it all the time in waiting rooms.

I have my headphones in literally right now. I use my phone as my primary media system, so video sources like YouTube and Nebula and audio like music and podcasts. I listen with wired headphones for any time I am not physically very involved as they are higher quality and provide a much more enjoyable listening experience, but I will switch to Bluetooth headphones when being more physically active.

That said, I am a very high consumer of audio. I currently have 129 podcasts I am subscribed to (some no longer run, but most are weekly to monthly), along with a whole lot of audiobooks. I am currently at well over 2200 hours played in my podcast app this year and that excludes all the audiobooks and videos.

I'll be honest... I bought a Poco F4 because the value for money it offered was amazing. Plus, I could unlock the bootloader and shift to a custom ROM whenever I wanted (literally as soon as I could lol. Hate MiUI).

This phone doesn't have a headphone jack, but I was willing to make the jump since my general use of headphones is not as much as earphones. My ears get sweaty or scratchy after more than an hour straight of earphones, and around the same for headphones.

As a result, my overall usage is limited. So, when I got my TWS (paid ₹2000 for an okay pair, no dual device pairing, okayish build quality for the case and an okayish connection. Sound was good tho.)

My situation meant I didn't really use them as much, although they go for almost 4hrs straight. And if I put them in the case, they go for weeks without needing a charge (case has a built-in battery of 1200mAh). So, whenever I think I need the case to charge I just set it up overnight. The only sad part is it doesn't have dual device pairing. I use my laptop and phone together and I'd kill for this feature, but my budget is thin atm.

I know it's not everybody's case, but this is my case. And while I miss the jack, I don't notice the lack of it. Audio quality is good enough for me. The wires were honestly the worst part of my wired experience anyway.

Tbh. I love my Samsung buds. I don't understand people complaining about the hassle of wireless. It is the wires that are always a hassle imo. My earbuds just pop out the case and are ready.

Current model doesn't have one, but I find myself missing it frequently. 3.5mm jack will be a must on my next phone.

everyday at work. I have Bose bluetooth earbuds, but there is sometimes a slight pause once in a while. Technology isn't perfect. But I like my hardwired classic earbuds.

Before I updated my car I used the headphone jack regularly for playing music there. Otherwise it was relegated to a couple situations a year like air travel.

Now that I've got a newer vehicle I just have all my music on USB there.

I was forced to buy wireless headphones because phones stopped using the 3.5mm jack. I still have a pair of wired earbuds but they're useless now as I only have 3.5mm on my work laptop.

The positive is my new wireless headphones are awesome and work very well, but they're over the ear so I can't use them for snowboarding like I could with my wired earbuds. They charge ultra fast and last up to 30 hours and they come with a 3.5mm jack if the battery dies. You don't get noise cancelling when using the 3.5mm jack but at least it works.

Very very rarely. I have a cheap Bluetooth adapter in my car, and I don't regularly use headphones because everyone I care about is immediately annoyed when they see headphones over/in my ears.

When I get a call at home while already wearing my wired headset I like to just plug it into the phone.

Since my current phone was bought used I had to compromise on some things, so I don't have a headphone jack anymore. I use a USB-C Adapter now. I use it for most phone calls, especially the longer ones with family. So probably for a few hours per month.

For quite a long time, until about 2021, I was still using wired headphones when on the go, but nowadays I'm addicted to noise cancelling, so that use case has moved to Bluetooth now. My protective headsets from work (both the over-ear and the in-ear set) also use Bluetooth.

Right now at work I would use one but my phone (Xperia XZ3) doesn't have a headphone jack. So I use an old Bluetooth Headset with a jack. The whole setup were presents from friends and my boss, so I wouldn't complain about any of that. 📱🎧 👍

But thinking about it: It's totally stupid to build a phone without a headphone jack. My previous phone (XZ) 🥲 had one and it was waterproof.

I don’t have a headphone jack and don’t miss it. I also don’t do much of anything on my phone though. I have a laptop for most things.

Every evening in bed I hear audiobooks for a bit. Simple wired in-ears are good for laying on your side (only one side in) while they won't be lost that easily as wireless ear buds. Also they never need to be recharged

I want it mostly for aux in various cars. Also neat to plug into PC speakers and such.

I'd pass up on fingerprint scanner and nfc before the jack tbh.

I would if I had one. I still use wired headphones so I have to either use specific usb headphones (which are not my favourite kind) or a dongle so I can use my preferred headphones which are a pair of over ear clip on ones. There are no wireless versions of those kinds of headphones.
