The US is so wrapped around their finger our "middle east policy" is simply "don't let Israel fall"

Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

There is not 2 state solution with Netanyahu and there is no 2 state solution with Hamas. Both need to lose power first.

Hamas is well armed and the only abuse their leaders have faced over the past decade is the indignity of a subpar Israeli funded 'massage' in their 5* Qatari hotel room.
Since they're not in Gaza, attacking Gaza won't accomplish Netanyahu's stated goal of wiping out Hamas.
Exactly. I would even argue that current leadership of PA should be removed, as well.

It was the ambassador who said it openly in English. There's some debate as to whether that indicates her inability to keep it quiet when flustered or an increased confidence on the part of the Israeli government that they can do whatever they want without consequence.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Her insistence that there will be no Palestinian state and that Israel believes there is no prospect of a two-state solution represent a stark, bold, brazen admission.
America's backing for Israel's military offensive, which has now killed more than 18,000 Gazans, is predicated on the policy of two states at some point after.
Yet it's clear now that America is backing Israel militarily, with US weapons and funding, despite two starkly different end point objectives.
The ambassador's remarks now put Israel in open defiance of every American president's policy going back 40 years.
