Through the knowledge that most tough battles are man-made and almost all can be bypassed by looking just at the objective and how to achieve them without going through the people posing the problem.

Moral of the story: -- Bypass people who pose problems --

For 90% of times, it will work.

Looking inwards and thinking about what the root cause of the issue is. Often I found that the root cause was different to what I initially believed.

It also often helped to not only do a root cause analysis, but to reflect back on past instances with similar problems and doing a post mortem analysis for them.

Root cause analyses and post mortems are pretty common in the tech world, where I work and where they helped me solve many issues. But they're also useful when you can detach yourself emotionally from a personal issue and ask yourself what is really preventing you from succeeding.

By respecting my academic, intellectual and emotional agency on the battles and developing on them with integrity, honesty and accountability towards the self while pushing myself to be empathetic towards myself.
