In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.

- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

It's expected, but I'd be sorry for them. To move the company and the people would require big expenses.

Not really. Signal is a walled garden but Matrix has a lot of a privacy issues.
Better distributed mechanisms, such as Jami and Briar. I have hope on wider adoption of Jami...
No one ever talks about delta chat but it makes email in a ui like instant messaging. Its encrypted and if wanted you could host your own email server. There is no way anyone is going to shut down email and the emails with delta chat are encrypted client side and delta chat can never be shutdown or messages can't ever be read.
