Talk about whatever, respecting the rules established by Lemmygrad. Failing to comply with the rules will grant you a few warnings, insisting on breaking them will grant you a beautiful shiny banwall.

A community for comrades to chat and talk about whatever doesn't fit other communities

I have struggled with my alcoholism for some time and finally was able to get sober. I'd like to pay it forward and decided to start /c/sobriety for ANY drug/alcohol addiction for those currently or afflicted in the past and ready to nurture and guide newcomers to sober living.

If that's you, please join and help me to grow a wonderful place in the fediverse for sober living. Thank you for the consideration and I look forward to seeing you in our community ;)

to avoid confusion: that's just a community, not an instance (the instance is Lemmygrad)

Thabk you for te clarification. I'm new and still grasping the fediverse terminology.

i don't understand this all that well, when I go to the link it automatically sends me to lemmygrad.ml and i'm not logged in. is there a way to see it and post from hexbear or do I need a lemmygrad account?

you can visit any community on Lemmygrad (or any other federated instance) by appending the instance URL -- in this case, https://hexbear.net/c/sobriety@lemmygrad.ml

Can a .ml user post on any other lemmy instance? Also is lemmygrad the only .ml?

[–] ksynwa@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 year ago

What do you mean by "the only .ml"? .ml is just a top level domain (TLD). Many websites use this TLD. Other lemmy instances can use this TLD as well. lemmy.ml uses it too.

This is a fantastic idea for a community, thank you comrade. We've lost too many comrades to addictions.

Thank you. Absolutely. It is a scourge akin to the scourge of Capitalism, in fact exacerbated by the chains of the system and the despair it incurs to our fellow working class men and women. I'm blessed to have made it out, I can only hope to help our other brothers and sisters as well.
