What prevents lemmy team from making Cardview on mobile like Hexbear? (lemmy.ml)

So the question is clear from the title. i was searching the web and found a website called Hexbear https://www.hexbear.net/. after looking at it for a minute found that this website is a modified fork of lemmy, but checking further found that hexbear shows the posts in cardview which looks better than the standard view of lemmy on mobile.

Any plans to allow cardview for lemmy on mobile?

I might add multiple views types to both lemmy-ui and jerboa at some point. Jerboa already has a card view, but it could be improved.

Have you tried changing your theme in settings? There may be one that presents mobile content differently. Or it might be a case of creating a custom theme.
