Been using “Whisk” for a while but they were bought by Samsung and have been slowly going down hill. Any good iOS apps for recipes? I hear good things about Paprika but not sure if it’s worth it…

UPDATE: Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

I love Crouton. The family sharing stuff works well, and it does everything we need it to do.

Just wish the grocery list would share between family members too!

Mela’s good. If you’re looking for a quick JustTheRecipe clone, you can use OnlyRecipe. Works great!

I second that. Been using Paprika for a long time on iOS. Then switched to Mela because it feels so much better for me.

I really liked Mela and really want to switch from Paprika, but I found it really hard to flip back and forth in Mela between the ingredients and the steps.

It can be a little chaotic when I cook. :-)

Mela on the App Store

Agreed. It does everything paprika did for me only it looks and feels a lot nicer. It’s from the guy who makes Reeder.

Copy Me That is my favorite, copies recipes in to the database super easy from web or mobile. super easy. I really like it and I feel like I tried every recipe app before settling in this a few years ago.

Pestle is a favorite. It has a good modern look to it while having a good app for the iPad as well

Same here, big Pestle fan! Looks native and I love how easy it is to adjust qty and between measurement units.

I didn't know about whisk beong bought. I'm using it quite a lot, but i'm nearly never check the "communities" or "discover" pages.

The only recent change I didn't like was to add specific sections "breakfast, lunch, dinner" in the meal planner because it add 3 more clicks to correctly put a recipe where you want ...

I'm curious what change make you think it's going downhill ? So far It's still the best option I found for recipe + meal planner + groceries list app.

It’s not unbearable but the desktop website version seems more cluttered than it used to be. Like you mentioned it is also more difficult to add things to the planner as well. These aren’t full deal breakers for sure but things like this usually slowly get clunkier to use over time.
