First time trying a new game at launch?
Pro-tip: plann for queues and crashes for the first day at least.
Pro-tip #2: maybe read or watch a review before buying. That game looks terribad and reviews aren't particularly good.
It's unfortunate that your expectation is that a game won't work at launch rather than us being able to control our own servers or whatnot.
Yeah it is unfortunate. But "hope for the best, expect the worst" serves me well in life and is particularly apt when it comes to video game launches.
I played the beta and I really enjoyed it. Anyway not very helpful pro tips.
Pro-tip: this isn't a queue because the game is wildly popular, it's a queue because of under-provisioning and poorly designed services that can't handle a normal load.
I saw an ad for this on my console. It took way too much work to find out what type of game it was. By the time I found out what type it was I had seen a dozen negative reviews and no positive ones.
It's "mostly negative" on steam - seems nobody can play it. So ... just give it a few weeks and try again, if you can even remember to by then lol
The challenge is to find the way into the game?
World of War Warcraft is also unplayable at noon on Tuesdays. It's an uncommon enough time that the servers might be down for maintenance. They could do a better job explaining that if that's the case, but it's early access.
It isn't early access if anyone can buy it and they're charging money for it, it's a released product.
They just released the minimum viable product even though the actual devs probably told them not to.
I played the beta and was wholly disappointed by the gameplay. I'd refund if you're able.
Yeah I didn't even make it out of the tutorial. It felt very cheap for the amount of advertising this thing has gotten
I'm actually pretty salty about this. I paid for early access knowing there'd be bugs and unfinished content, but I didn't think a week after launch I still wouldn't even be able to play it.
Refund it. Corpos only look at financial statements anyway
I would, but two of my buddies also bought it with the idea that we'd play together and they're happy to ride it out. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
So your saying I should t stop playing final fantasy 16 or refund my armor core to try it out? :)
It's called waiTfinder
Approximate wait time: 00
I've been sitting here since 000. This is getting ridiculous.
Honestly the game is fantastic once you're in. Devs have been working 9am-midnight even 3am since last Tuesday (Aug15).
It's not a hardware issue. It's their software. I've been closely following their discord. Should have a fix soon and allow for unlimited scalability.
